both have Tailscale so that can overcome issues with CGNATs. Tailscale also helps connect an IP cam on the travel router side to my NVR at home

When delving in to the insights option for surrounding Wi-Fi, the problem is that most ISP routers and Wi-Fi configs are set to Auto everything blasting maximum power on auto channels. Very few people know how to configure good Wi-Fi and many think that bigger is better i.e. more power is good Wi-Fi. In my Office I have 112 yes 112 Wi-Fi devices in the immediate neighbourhood. Printers broadcasting for direct print, even cars parked outside are now broadcasting Wi-Fi. BMW seem to be the worst culprit.

There is an issue with these where the tcp handshake timeout is set to 30 instead of 300. This causes softphone/voip to disconnect after 30 seconds or so unless you SSH into it and change the value to 300 manually. Unifi has finally acknowledged the issue but has no ETA on when the fix will be slotted into and update. This is a massive deal breaker for work from home users until it is fixed.

For example they would like to take the device while in front desk and login on their own. i.e. type in the password themselves. how would you be able to HIDE the admin portal while this is happening? i think using virtual desktop might be best way. hide the admin portable VD 2 while you have login and browser on VD 1 ?

Just need a good AP that can be fully exposed to the elements and cover a range of 150-200 feet. This should be just the thing I need.

Just to make this current. I bought this VEGA device off of Ebay and followed all the instructions over and over again to no avail. What DID WORK, was going back to factory settings and then running the quick config again. Boom, connected to my FreePBX server right away. As far as getting ENP setup..... I have not tried that.

It does work with security camera very well I have a house that's about half a mile away or less pointed to another house Linus site Poe Camera In the house, it is running a mesh unit from euro in the house there's another wireless transmitter going to the barn garage running two more additional cameras pointing towards the house. No issues so far it's been about nine months.

Can I use any Poe switch or do I have to use their POE switch?

Honestly the industry should be standardizing 2.5 gbe chords for every new device that's coming out multi gig speeds are becoming more available and more affordable for example there's a lot of Internet providers that you can buy 2 GB plans for $100 and if you're lucky enough to have Google Fiber they offer an 8 gig plan for $150 a month if I had that available I would have that in a heartbeat

Hey! Is there a reason you’re not doing any TP-Link stuff anymore? Did they upset you or is UniFi just sponsoring? Noticed there’s nothing on Omada for a year+ even though they’ve released new kit like the wifi7 ap’s. Been struggling with Unifi’s stock issues and product decisions. Would be good to keep UniFi honest!

My recommendation? To stay away from ubiquiti it's a addiction. I LOVE my equipment I have a dream machine pro and 24 port poe switch powering up 2 U6 APs and 7 cameras. I also hardwired 2 cat6 keystones behind every TV for 5 rooms. I additionally setup a wireless bridge to my office outside with a basic AP

I am considering leaving Xfinity Comcast internet and Cable TV to get this T-mobile 5G Internet and RUclips TV. My question is, assuming I can get a good connection and speed, will RUclips TV run well on it or will there be hiccups in the streaming like you had on your PC? I feel like I'm overpaying for Comcast at $86 for cable and $199 total with cable TV. I'm only getting about 30mb download speed. AT&T DSL is the option I was looking at for $60/mo with no contract. No fiber available in my neighborhood.
